[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] IF IT WASN'T FOR THIS GIRL YOU'D STILL BE TRAPPED [attr="class","next"] Evening was falling upon Cinder Isle and the young woman had just gotten off work. Leaving behind her job, she waved for a few co-workers as she headed in the opposite direction, pulling her jean jacket closer to her body as she walked. Her phone with her wallet was tucked away in the pocket of her apron as well as her keys; the sounded of them clanking together filling her ears as she walked. Her cottage wasn’t far from where she worked, but she did have to pass by the old wishing well along the way. Sometimes she stopped and stared for a while into its depths, other times she continued walking. The former option was what she did this time, because once the well came into view, she drew closer to it, staring into the depths of it as she fished out her wallet and grabbed a penny out. Slowly she closed her eyes before sending it to its watery grave. She wished for the same thing each time she did this, a sense or an inkling of the past. She was pretty sure others did the same thing.

"Well I think you're a disappointment to the education system!" Merida called back loudly, stomping away, toward the well. She and one of her teachers just had... a very tense relationship. Her Scottish accent got even heavier when she was angry, so it was possible that her shouting mostly sounded like gibberish to anyone eavesdropping. Her teacher was Scottish too, though, so maybe that was why they fought so much. Too hot headed. They just happened to run into each other and the teacher thought it would be a good time to give Merida some 'much need pointers'. Yeah, right! Merida didn't need her help. She turned toward the well and noticed a girl throwing a coin in. Merida cleared her throat, "ay, you makin' wishes then? I've made a few, never got anything out of it but I hold out hope," she said.
