EVELYN LUNA HOLT FEMALE EIGHTEEN THE BLACK CAULDRON PRINCESS EILONWY EMMA WATSON RISSY Appearance Evelyn looks almost the same as she did when she was known as Eilonwy, however, she is no longer twelve-years-old. She has changed into that of a lady and grown more rebellious with each passing day. She still has the blonde hair that she had before, though it has grown somewhat darker than the light blonde it once was. Her eye color has changed from crystal blue to dark brown, as well as her delicate figure has grown into a curvy young woman. While she no longer favors dresses or the colors she once did, she does usually stick to the more flowy items. Her shoe choice are still dark flats with anything she wears, but she has added pants to her wardrobe. She is also seen with a necklace that resembles her magical bauble, due to having lost the magic of it, she still has something that could be a reminder of her past. She doesn't remmeber how she got it, but she never takes it off. Her hair is usually left down, but it's usually more wavy than before and can sometimes be seen put up in a ponytail or a bun. Personality Eilonwy's soft, feminine qualities lent an impression of a damsel-in-distress, who needed a strong male hero to save her, but that could not have been further from the truth. She was obstinate, outspoken, contentious and fiery when roused to anger. But she also cared deeply about animals and the suffering of people, and like Taran upheld a basic moral code. She was also sharp, snippy, strong-willed, and sarcastic. While not much has changed from her former days as a rebellious princess, Evelyn still holds many of the things that she once did. She's still strong-willed, sarcastic and snippy, as well as quick to anger. But there is a bit of a softness to her now and days, but that doesn't mean she is a damsel-in-distress, she rather get down and dirty with the big boys than run among the meadows with the "princesses." And while Evelyn hasn't changed much from her former self, there is still more to be seen about her character than before. She is somewhat talkative, something that was seen in her character prior to Cinder Isles. She is brave and adventurous, and headstrong. History Princess Eilonwy was the daughter of princess Angharad and Geraint, the granddaughter of Queen Regat. She was very outspoken, feisty and a kind-hearted princess of the royal house of Llyr. She was capable of performing minor enchantments and of holding her own in a fight, though she never completed her enchantment training before she was kidnapped by the Horned King and locked away in his dungeon. The king wanted to use her magic bauble to find the black cauldron. It was there in the lower ruins under the Horned King’s castle when Eilonwy was searching for an escape route that she met Taran. Eilonwy, instead of leaving like she planned, allowed Taran to come with her and escape the castle. On the way out they found themselves in the old ruins of the old castle of king Rhitta and come across the mystic sword, Dyrnwny. Eilonwy warns Taran to be careful with the sword for she knows how powerful it is, thanks to her little training in enchantments. While escaping the rescues Fflewddur Fflam from his imprisonment and together escape the castle. After their escape, they run into a young creature by the name of Gurgi and together they journey through the realms until they stumble upon the fair folk. The young girl convinced the king of the folk to give them hen wen, and of course, he agreed and asked the other fairies to help them get back to the surface. Taran presumed Eilonwy to be, apart from her enchanted heritage, an ordinary girl, which she made no more to correct. But once he learned of her royal blood he begins to understand her more. The four members of their little group travel together in hopes of stopping the Horned King from his plans. The four members in hope of stopping the Horned King travel to the marshes of Morva to destroy the black cauldron once and for all. Slowly each member tries to exchange with the three enchantresses for the cauldron but only one thing catches their eye, the sword in which Taran carries. Pondering if giving the sword away in return for the Cauldron is the best idea, something that Eilonwy protests about briefly, Taran gives up the sword for the cauldron. Left with no means to destroy the dangerous item, they are captured by the Horned King and forced to watch as he raises the army of the dead with it. Chained to the ceiling, watching as creatures rise from the grave and walk among the living once more, it is their dear friend Gurgi that frees himself and sacrifices his life. Of course, it was Taran that wanted to do so, with much protest from Eilonwy, but it is Gurgi that plunges into the deathly cauldron. With his death, the magic withers away and the dead once more become still. The Horned King, angry with what has happened, tries to kill Taran but luckily is defeated. Returning to the witches that gave them the cauldron, they wish to return it, but with a deal of trade. The witches, having been bested at their own game, do not give the sword back but grant another wish. Taking the cauldron with them, they leave behind the body of Gurgi who slowly begins to wake up. They wished for his life back, and once again reunited it is Gurgi that forces Eilonwy and Taran to kiss before the four of them go on adventures together. However, when Pitch's darkness spread to her home, the Princess returns home with her friends to aid her father and mother, with the magical bauble and powers that she possesses. Together with Taran, a man that she had begun courting after their kiss, Gurgi and Fflam, they were to defeat the darkness just as they did with the Horned King. And just as they all prepared for battle, it all seemed to end. But not end in the way of winning, oh no, more in the way that Eilonwy woke up with no memories of the past. Now, living her life as Evelyn Holt on Cinder Isles, she spends most of her time at her job or at home with her cat.
