JANE MARIE PORTER FEMALE TWENTY-FOUR TARZAN JANE PORTER MARGOT ROBBIE RISSY | Appearance
Jane is much like how she looked, except for the minor change in hair color. Originally, Jane was seen sporting brunette locks that reached a little below her shoulder, now and days, she is seen with blonde hair usually up in a bun. While her fashion is still much the same as her old self, besides not wearing a long hoop-skirt dress, Jane is still pretty down to earth. Her skin is fair, her eyes crystal blue, her cheeks rather rosy. She also still sports lavender eyeshadow on her lids, no matter what the outfit she wears (as long as it matches). Her clothing is usually earthy tones, some whites, yellows and auburn thrown in. She has her ears pierced but that is it as far as that goes. She can seen usually wearing a couple rings and a necklace.
Personality
Jane, still to this day, is fairly eccentric and spontaneous. She holds a sense of standards and holds true to her roots as an Englishwoman, all the while adapting to her life in the jungle. Nevertheless, this woman is intelligent and greatly gifted in her skills as a zoologist and artist. In both her past and her present, Jane can conjure an extremely accurate representation of an animal or human. While she usually works from reference, there are times when she can solely do it on memory, that adds to her talent as an artist.
Not much has changed from her past in her passionate admiration for wildlife of all kinds and can be seen as someone that appreciates and respects the animal kingdom, which reflects in her responsibility to be mindful of their living conditions during her explorations. However, Jane is far from perfect, usually seen with the habit of getting herself into trouble due to her arrogance. And while this isn’t far from the truth now and days, she is less likely to get in trouble and need saving, she can do that on her own, and Jane is also quick to adapt to her surroundings.
History
Jane Porter was born in Victoria-era Britain to the esteemed Professor Archimedes Q. Porter and the late Isabelle Porter. Due to her mother’s death, right after Jane was born into the world, she never got to meet her mother, and instead was raised by her father. Which resulted in her persona taking more towards his world than her home in Britain, though her father does comment quite a bit that she takes after her mother. Jane’s life was filled with fancy parties and the need for adventure, which resulted in her joining the animal research field that allowed her to work closely with her father. When she became an adult, they worked together and combined their resources to garner a better understanding of animal habits and behavior.
By the time, Jane was in her early twenties, her father and herself had discovered so many things in their research, and Jane grew in her ability as an artist. However, it wasn’t until a few years later, that the two would take an ambitious expedition to Africa, where a long-awaited journey to study gorillas was about to capture their entire attention. And this expedition was how she met the infamous Tarzan, an “ape-man” who was a bit older than herself. Under the protection of their guide, Clayton, the family traveled to the heart of a jungle. However, it is during their exploration that Jane, after discovering an area that likely was a home of the gorillas, followed after a baby baboon and began drawing it. He steals it—resulting in a chase that ends with her taking it back and his family trying to kill her. Luckily for Miss Porter, a man was there to save the day and rescued her from the horrible baboons, but she lost the drawing in the end.
The ape-man, whom she later learns is called “Tarzan” is fascinated with her and she with him. She tries to teach him her name and that the gunshot they heard was Clayton. He takes her back to camp, where she runs into his friends and other gorillas, but before she could ask questions or Clayton and her father could return, they were all gone. Leaving her to have to retell everything that happened and likely look insane. At least, until Tarzan returns and reveals her drawings and story to be true. For the next while, Jane teaches Tarzan how to be a “man” and how to speak English and the human culture that he was kept away from. She begins to fall for him with each lesson, and from what it looked like, he did with her as well.
Their expedition comes up empty as Jane and her father are to return to London, of course, Jane asks Tarzan to return with her, and in return, he begs her to stay in the jungle. She couldn’t do such a thing and instead runs away, leaving behind a shocked Tarzan. Unknown to her, Clayton says that Jane would stay if they saw the gorillas, which resulted in him doing just that. Surrounded by the creatures, Tarzan teaches a young Jane to speak their language, however, what he taught her to say was “Jane will stay with Tarzan.” Everything is cut short when Kerchak cases them away, resulting in Tarzan agreeing to return with Jane and her father.
What they didn’t know, was that it was a trap. Trapped on the ship as Clayton and his men round up all the gorillas, Tarzan finally escapes to save the day. Rescued by Terk and Tantor, they all go to stop Clayton, resulting in the latter’s death. This wasn’t the end for Jane Porter and Tarzan’s story, however, as when she was returning to the ship she jumps out of the rowboat and returns to shore. Her father shortly follows, and the pair stay in the jungle with Tarzan, where later, the two are “married” and live within the treehouse his parents built all those years ago. Now, the queen of the jungle, Jane’s life is far from perfect, but she loves it.
Over the span of a year of marriage to Tarzan, so much had happened, her friends came to visit, and the likes, but also, darkness threatened their jungle. It was Tarzan that went to fight in the that almost claimed his life. The last thing the young woman remembered was watching her husband, and the love of her life, swing into battle.
Now, in this new world, Jane is a struggling artist but also researches animals and helps out the local zoo. She’s written a few books, and illustrated them, on animal life and could be considered an animal researcher in this new life. Sadly, for Jane, she hasn’t run into Tarzan in this new land, or really remembers him. She sees glimpses of him when she’s drawing, his jawline and such. She wants to know who the mysterious person in her drawings are, and she wants to find out what happened to her memories. But most of all, she just wants her family back.
