Henry August Charmont Male Twenty-Nine
Cinderella
Prince Charming (Prince Henri Alto August Ferdinand)
Armie Hammer
Suzie | Appearance
Henry has darker hair than his playby does, more dark brown to match the animated version. He has green eyes that are kind, gentle, yet piercing. Henry now wears his hair styled up rather than combed down as he used to. He has a few hiddens scars from the wars, but nothing of note. He has a tattoo on his wrist of the roman numeral dates of the day Ella died. As for fashion, now that he isn't technically a prince anymore he likes to dress in ways that help him blend in but still make him look professional and charming. He wears form fitting shirts and pants that are usually slacks, but easy to move in. Unlike his past jaunty self, Henry's disposition is more of a meloncholy one now.
Personality
Henry loves the sun and the beach. He craves light and warmth, anything to help him stay on the sunny side of his disposition if at all possible. Henry, before the wars and before losing Ella, was a happy man with a love of dancing, charity and leadership. Now, those aspects of him are still there but are not shown as outwardly as they once were. Of course he'd never ignore someone in need, and he can't help but sway when he hears a good tune, but he doesn't make the same effort as he used to. Depression has taken hold of him and has impacted him greatly, causing the once lightfooted, charming Prince to turn into a lost soul, often wandering about not making much contact.
He tries to keep positive but it's a hard en devour, one he has little faith in achieving. By staying out of government he's taken away his responsibilities and his love for leadership, at least until he feels ready to be a leader that people can love and trust again. He feels as though most of his strength came from Ella, and even thinking about trying to govern and guide without her causes him to go into another one of his downward spirals. He tries to stay a humble, gentle man, without drawing too much attention. He remains lighthearted and charming on the outside to the best of his ability, even though his heart is being torn apart still on a day to day basis.
History
Charming grew up with loving parents and a desire to make the kingdom well and happy. He was raised to believe that every action he made would affect hundreds of people. This caused him to slightly rebel in the art of taking things seriously and made him a little more upbeat and silly than his parents ever were. Still, even when he was fooling around, his parents still taught him the importance of his position. He grew up happy, loved and trained every day in the art of leadership.
When his mother died he was only sixteen, and it devastated the kingdom. He realized his parents were right, and the royal family had a great impact on people. He realized he could do some serious good in the world with that power. Well, at least in the kingdom. He changed, trying to listen more carefully to his father and act on his duties, but that didn't mean he stopped having fun. One day, while out and about with his hunting party, he met a girl. A sweet girl who saved the very creature they were trying to hunt. He didn't tell her his identity, but he did give a name, and that he worked at the palace.
Soon his father took ill and Charming had to make a choice. To obey his fathers wishes and marry before he died, or to offer up the throne to his Uncle. Charming and his father made a deal, to throw a three day ball where Charming could choose a wife. His father preferred a royal woman, but Charming invited all the eligible ladies in the land. That's how the girl he met in the woods came to arrive at the ball.
He spent the entire night with her and fell deeply in love, even in the instant she walked through the door. Before the clock struck twelve, however, she ran, leaving behind nothing but a glass slipper. No name, no address... nothing. He then conducted a search throughout the kingdom, trying the slipper one every woman's foot until, finally, he found her trapped in an attic by her stepmother. They were soon married, and he thought that was happily every after.
Only eight years after their marriage did things start to happen. People were having dark nightmares, fear was wide spreading across the land. Ella knew it could only be magic, and immediately took to investigating that while Charming had to handle the chaos that ensued. People doing dark things, murdering, stealing, etc. started happening all throughout the kingdom. Charming had to enforce more laws then ever and the world seemed to be crumbling down.
Soon, Ella discovered, with the help of her fairy godmother, that this darkness was happening in other worlds as well. She took it upon herself, and Charming, to find the source and to stop it. She openly declared war on Pitch, and the war began against whoever they could find to help Pitchs' army of darkness. During the battle, Ella was killed and Charming was left devastated with barely any kingdom left to speak of...
He went searching for help, soon finding he Enchantress, the most powerful magical being as far as he knew. She helped him come up with a plan, a plan to get everyone's happy endings back and erase all the horror Pitch had caused. In the battle between Enchantress and Pitch, who used the Snowglobe as his weapon, Enchantress's powers erased the memories of the storybook characters across all the worlds. An unforeseen effect of this battle ended with all the characters being removed from their own respective worlds and placed on an island. Cinder Isle.
Now, Charming lives on Cinder Isle as one of the only two people who remembers anything. He keeps a low profile, working simply and quietly and trying to do the best he can to finally mourn and cope with the loss of his wife.
