Phillip Hunter Westbrook Male 23 Sleeping Beauty Prince Philip Liam Hemsworth Kierra | Appearance
Phillip is just like his playby. He is quite tall, standing at six feet, one inch. He has piercing, yet understanding blue eyes and light brown hair. He likes to look scruffy, but not overly so, so he shaves once or twice a week so he can have that look. He is almost always smiling and cheerful. He likes to dress casually, mostly because of his job at the livery stable. He doesn’t like fancy clothes at all, but he knows how to make casual look good.
Personality
Phillip is brave and always willing to help someone in need. At the same time he is very easygoing. If you want or need to talk to someone about something that may be a bit sensitive, Phillip is your guy. He’s almost always cheerful (unless he feels like someone is being mistreated, then you might want to watch your back if you’re the one mistreating!) and always quite polite. However, he is determined. If there is something that he really wants, you’d better not get in his way, because there is only a small chance that he won’t end up getting it.
He has a real way with words. Not only is Phillip easy to trust and confide in, but he has a way of talking that just calms people. He is also quite persuasive, which is more like a gift for him than a personality trait. Though he never uses it for malicious purposes, he can often convince people to do things the way he would prefer.
Phillip didn’t really change a lot personality-wise when he arrived at the island. He likes spending his time with animals and has quite a way with them, which is why he owns the livery stable. He’s in more humble circumstances now, but they suit him just fine and he is happy and content.
History
Phillip learned at a young age who he was going to marry. Without a mother, his father raised him, teaching him how to be a good King. Phillip excelled, doing well in his studies. However, he longed for something different. Due to a curse placed on his betrothed at her christening, Phillip hadn’t seen her since she was a baby.
One day he went into the woods and heard the most beautiful voice. He and his horse Samson searched for the owner of the voice and he finally found an entrancing young woman standing beside a stream, still singing. He approached her, but she was very timid. Trying to put her at ease, he began to sing her song back to her and then pulled her into a waltz. This was what he’d been longing for! However, before he could learn hardly anything about the girl, she ran away, asking him to come visit her at her home later that night. Phillip agreed, though he knew full well he was supposed to go meet Princess Aurora.
He went home and tricked his father into telling him that he could marry the girl he wanted before rushing off to the cottage where the girl was supposed to be. Upon his arrival, he was captured and carried far away to Maleficent’s domain. After being imprisoned there for two years, he finally escaped with the aid of Aurora’s fairy friends.
Determined to make his way back to her, Prince Phillip fought Maleficent’s beasts, traveled the great distance from Maleficent’s domain, slashed his way through a forest of thistles and thorns and eventually battled against Maleficent herself in the form of a dragon. He survived the battle, using his magical sword of truth and shield of virtue to overpower the dragon.
He entered King Stefan’s castle to find everyone asleep. He made his way quickly through the castle, only pausing when he reached the last steps of the tallest tower, where he saw Aurora asleep. Recognizing her as the same young maiden he fell in love with years before, he kissed her and she awoke. Their life together began joyously.
Then war began again. Recognizing the need to fight in order to protect the life, family and kingdom that he loved and cherished, Phillip joined the efforts early. When Aurora expressed her desire to learn to fight, at first Phillip was hesitant, though he did not tell her. However, as she learned to fight, he realized the benefits of her being able to defend herself and assisted her in her efforts. Still, during battle he endeavored to stay near to her, not wanting to even imagine what his life would be like without her.
However, when it really counted, all he could do was watch as she was hit on the back of the head and knocked out. Furious, he quickly defeated the villain he was battling and rushed to her, protecting her. When the fight moved to a different area, he knelt down beside her, cradling her head in his lap as he took hold of her wrist to try and ascertain whether or not she was still alive. He breathed out a sigh of relief when he felt her pulse. He pulled her into his arms, intent on taking her somewhere safe when suddenly, a heavy desire for sleep overcame him. He tried to fight it, but he ended up passed out in the middle of the battlefield, still cradling her in his arms.
Phillip is now the owner of the livery stable on Cinder Isle. He loves animals and gets along very well with them, but once more feels as though something is missing in his life, though he doesn’t know what it is. Working with animals keeps him very much in shape, but he also wants to be able to defend himself if anything were to happen. He practices archery as well as swordplay as often as he can.
