Flynn Eugene Rider Male 26 Tangled Flynn Rider (technically Eugene Fitzherbert) Dean Geyer Kierra Appearance Flynn is almost exactly like his playby, which means he's changed a bit from the Flynn that we know. Once he forgot who he was, he decided to cut his hair shorter, which he really likes. His eyes are normally a light shade of blue, but they do occasionally change to brown or hazel, depending on what he is wearing and his emotional state. (they tend to go darker when he is angry) His small beard comes and goes, depending on his mood. Most of the time he likes to have a little bit of a five o’clock shadow, but other times he feels like doing away with it so he does. Flynn is all about comfort when it comes to clothes. You can typically find him in a good looking pair of jeans with a casual shirt. He also has an affinity for jackets and layering his clothes. He doesn't really have a favorite outfit, but he really likes wearing dark blue. Personality Flynn is snarky and sarcastic. He has no qualms in telling things the way he sees them and rarely filters anything that he says. He likes to think of himself as cavalier and dashing and is convinced that the rest of the world sees him that way as well. He likes to smile and laugh and have fun. What Finn really wants out of life is excitement. He wants to have the kind of life that stories would be told of, and songs would be written about. His worst fear is of being alone and forgotten, so he tries to make himself memorable. Without his memories of Rapunzel, he lives more on the dangerous side, but he doesn't want everyone to know that so most of his escapades are private and kept secret. He's charming and uses that to his advantage, being very flirtatious with just about anyone. However, he's not interested in being in any kind of relationship. He’s having too much fun for that! Basically, he's the man he was before he knew Rapunzel. Witty, snarky and supremely confident. He doesn't have any goals except to get what he wants- whatever that may be at the moment. History Flynn grew up in an orphanage. He never knew his parents, but he was not bitter over the fact. Instead, he was more like an older brother to the other boys in the orphanage. He read to them constantly, stories of the "Amazing Flynnagin Rider" and decided that he wanted a more interesting and exciting life. So, once he left the orphanage, he became a swashbuckling, daring and infamous thief. He preferred to work individually, but sometimes needed support. However, he was not loyal or faithful to those who helped him, constantly backstabbing them to make sure that he got what he wanted. All of that changed when he met Rapunzel. His barriers slowly broke as she earned respect in his eyes. She was calm and collected in all situations they got into and no matter what happened, together they made it through. Slowly, his dream of wealth and excitement was replaced by the dream of being with her. Somewhere along the line he confessed his real name to her and she started calling him Eugene. (though he still preferred Flynn) Then he was tricked and placed in a dungeon, while she was taken by her “mother”. In prison, he found out who orchestrated his capture and put all the pieces together, realizing she was in danger. Through the help of a few loyal friends, Flynn escaped and went to her rescue. He climbed Rapunzel’s hair and was stabbed upon entering her tower. He knew he was dying and in his desperation to save his love, he cut her hair before she could heal him. Then he died. Imagine his surprise when he woke up a short while later! Rapunzel had healed him with her tears. They went to the castle and revealed her identity to her parents (who welcomed both of them in). Flynn was surprised that they accepted him, once he had made right all his wrongs. Then the battle against Pitch started. Flynn was determined to do his part. As a previous thief, he was exceptionally good at sneaking and spying, so Flynn became a spy. He was constantly on the lookout for any and all kinds of information and reporting it, doing all he could to help. Then one day he woke up on an island. With no memory of who he was or where he was, he began a new life. His personality became much like it was before he’d met Rapunzel, being very much focused on himself and his needs, though he sensed that something was missing in his life. He went back to Flynn, even forgetting his original name was Eugene. The community on this island was so small that being a full-time thief would not do (though he was still inclined to steal and occasionally did so to satisfy that desire). Instead, he became a cartographer. He went off around the island, mapping it out, planning adventures. He would even lead people to places they wanted to go. All in all, not a bad life.
