It was a Saturday, early in the morning and Flynn was up to his usual shenanigans. He normally avoided town as much as he could, didn't like getting caught up talking to people he couldn't care less about. They were always busy complaining and talking about themselves and their boring lives. In his humble opinion, nothing they were doing was actually worth their time. These people all got caught up in trivial things, whereas Flynn lived for adventure. So he only came to town when he had to, like when he needed food or supplies. Today was one of these days. He woke early to avoid the crowds (or at least what passed for crowds on this island) and went to the market to get some food. This wasn't the first time he'd done this, so he wasn't surprised at all by the empty streets, the only smell on the air that of the baker making his wares for the day. The village was oddly quiet and definitely peaceful. It reminded him of deep parts of the forest and Flynn couldn't help but smile as he thought of it. He loved exploring and the forest. He also loved sneaking around and stealing things ... but now was not the time for that. He hadn't yet figured out how to do something like that here, though his fingers sometimes twitched when he saw something that didn't look like it would be hard to take. Naaaah, he'd wait. He could do it, wait for the right time. He got some essential food items at the market and started wandering the streets. He could go back to his cottage, but he might as well walk around here for a while first. The streets were still almost entirely empty, which was something he wanted to take advantage of. He turned a corner abruptly, running into someone or something. What was going on? He looked around, trying to figure out what just happened. LILYA IRIE MÜLLER

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] FLOWER, GLEAM AND GLOW LET YOUR POWER SHINE [attr="class","next"] It was Saturday, and yet Lilya had been up early that morning, her body on the schedule that she had for school. The sun had barely come up when her eyes had opened, and her body stretched on the bed that was in her home. A yawn left her lips as she removed herself and went to the kitchen, there was a note upon the fridge that reminded her that she needed to shop at the local market, not only for food but she needed some supplies for her art collection she had at home, most paints and such. Quickly she darted around her house, grabbing clean clothes and getting herself presentable for the coming day before disappearing outside her cottage. She lived along and felt somewhat isolated, but sometimes it felt better than being around people. Her feet padded against the ground, the usual crowd of people not here due to the earliness that she had come out. Her cottage was a bit away from where the market was located, meaning by the time she even got close to it, the sun had already risen and the day had started. Her body moved, almost skipping as she made her way through town and just as she turned a corner, she found herself falling backward onto her butt. A gasp left her lips as she landed, hard, on the concert ground. The person seemed to look around for what he had run into, but his eyes were up, not down at her. She gave a quick clear of her throat, “Hello—hi…down here,” she breathed out as she gave a small wave and a fake smile before finishing, “Mind helping a girl up?”

Flynn really wasn't expecting to run into anyone else here in the streets so early in the morning. Which he was definitely going to use to explain how he didn't look down to figure out where the person was he just ran into. Oops. If anyone cared, he'd simply say it was his morning brain. Not that he thought anyone would care. He heard a woman's voice coming from the ground and looked down, his eyes widening in surprise. He nodded, extending a hand, "Yeah, of course. Sorry about that. Guess I wasn't looking where I was going ..." once she was standing, he scratched his neck awkwardly. "Are you okay?" Flynn wasn't normally one to feel awkward, but something about this girl made him feel awkward or uncomfortable or ... something. He had no idea what it was, but he decided he didn't like it. He didn't like anything or anyone that made him feel unsure about what he was doing and for some reason this girl did. "Uhhh, can I help you with anything else?" He might as well offer, since he did knock her down. LILYA IRIE MÜLLER

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] FLOWER, GLEAM AND GLOW LET YOUR POWER SHINE [attr="class","next"] The awkwardness that Lilya was feeling filled her being and she found her cheeks heating up as she thought about it. Here she was, seated on the ground with a hurt bum, practically begging the person that knocked her down to help her back up. Perhaps she should be able to get up herself, but it was only right that she be helped, he had knocked her down. But as she gazed up at him, his eyes seemed to grow bigger as she looked at him. He was attractive, she couldn’t deny that, but a sense of familiarity filled her being. She didn’t know who he was or where she knew him from, but she felt it in her heart that she should know him. It was weird and she quickly shook her head, internally of course because it would be less weird. He extended his hand, apologizing for not looking where he was going as her hands went into his and he pulled her to her feet. She brushed herself off and pushed a strand of brunette hair behind her ear. “Yeah—yeah fine. Probably a few bruises but all in all, no harm done really,” she said with a small laugh. He looked just as awkward as she felt, and a small frown played on her lips until he asked if he could help her with anything else. She shook her head, laughing as she thought of something ridiculous before speaking, “Oh no unless you want to help me shop.” The laughter died down as she looked at him and quickly added, “That was a joke…sorry,” she said with a shake of her head, short brunette hair flying in her face with each motion.

Yeah, there was definitely something about this girl. Flynn couldn't help but wonder if he'd ran into her some other time that he forgot about. It was ... well it was weird. Maybe he should know her, maybe he shouldn't. He couldn't decide. However, looking at her, he found he just wanted to run the other direction. She was dangerous. The type of girl that he could see himself being interested in getting to know better, which was not something Flynn was interested in at the moment. He was fully enjoying his bachelorhood and doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. He knew that most people, when they got married, didn't have that kind of freedom. That didn't appeal to him at all. Still, it wasn't the girl's fault that she was his type. He needed to still be charming, so he didn't ruin his reputation with her. He grimaced slightly when she said she was fine, but probably had a few bruises. Was she trying to make him feel guilty. Maybe she wanted him to carry her to the healers or something ... no way. There was no way he would do that. "Sorry again about that," he said, hoping that his apology would be good enough for her. "Not used to running into people here this time of day. Y'know, most everyone is sleeping," he used his arms to gesture to the street around him. No one was there, proving his point. She laughed when he asked if he could help, which was kind of rude, but Flynn smiled nonetheless. She commented about him helping her shop, then said it was just a joke. Flynn smirked as he leaned forward a little. He had a rep to protect, after all. "Well that entirely depends on what you're shopping for," he said in a low voice. Yes, he was teasing, but he also was a little curious about if he'd be able to make her feel uncomfortable or not. It was a fine line, but at the moment he didn't care. LILYA IRIE MÜLLER
